Is The Divide Becoming Irreparable?

This Time, The House Divided May NEVER Reunify!

AMERICANS HAVE NEVER BEEN THIS IDEOLOGICALLY NOR POLITICALLY DIVIDED

“So Israel rebelled against the house of David unto this day.”

“And when all Israel saw that the king would not hearken unto them, the people answered the king, saying, ‘What portion have we in David? and we have none inheritance in the son of Jesse: every man to your tents, O Israel: and now, David, see to thine own house.’ So all Israel went to their tents.  But as for the children of Israel that dwelt in the cities of Judah, Rehoboam reigned over them.  Then king Rehoboam sent Hadoram that was over the tribute; and the children of Israel stoned him with stones, that he died. But king Rehoboam made speed to get him up to his chariot, to flee to Jerusalem.  And Israel rebelled against the house of David unto this day.”

IS THE DIVISION TOO DEEP?  HAVE WE REACHED A POINT OF NO RETURN IN AMERICAN SOCIETY?  Are we now in a time of such division and separation from each other in American Society that there’s no chance of unity, for reconciliation, nor coming together to find the simplest and most basic of common ground? Are the differences between Republican and Democrat, Liberal and Conservative, Leftist and Traditionalist, Patriot and Globalist too deep for any possible reconciliation?

We have seen, over the last two decades (if not much, much longer), the division of people on the political right and the political left become ever schismatic and widening.  The chasm between right and left became very wide and deep in the last Presidential Election; it’s only gotten wider over the last four years.  After President Trump was elected, we saw protest after protest chant “Not My President!” all the while burning, vandalizing property, destroying businesses, and looting stores and shops.  We have seen such most glaringly take place in recent days with the AntiFa insurrection and Black Lives Matter (BLM) terrorism in the wakes of the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Rayshard Brooks.

Have we reached that point, where We the People can no longer live together in this Nation, this American Experiment?  Could we see, on November 4th, sections of the USA leave the Union, and enter a time of secession, not too dissimilar from the first secession, which started in December of 1860?  Are the establishments of CHAZ/CHOP and BHAZ, along with the BLM and AntiFa attacks on the Portland, Oregon Federal Building just the beginning of something worse in the offing?

OPPONENTS UNTIL FIVE IN THE EVENING — In politics, it used to be that opponents on both sides, all sides of the political aisle and political spectrum, in the USA would be at each other’s political throats all day, but, after 5pm, when the workday on Capitol Hill was done, erstwhile political enmity was set aside, and everyone could at least have dinner together or enjoy refreshment.  Late Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, the Honorable Mr. Thomas P. “Tip” O’Neill mentioned both in the media in the 1980s, and in his political memoir, Man of the House: The Life and Political Memoirs of Speaker Tip O’Neill, that he and President Ronald Reagan usually would have friendly conversation and relations together after 5pm in Dee-Cee[1].  Mr. Chris Matthews, a former aide to Speaker O’Neill, alleges similarly in his book, Tip and the Gipper: When Politics Worked.

It was that way, as well, in the majority of the History of the USA. Despite being literal Political Enemies in the early part of the US’ History, Late Presidents Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, James Madison, and Alexander Hamilton could and would speak together, share correspondence, and even help each other in times of great need.

THE THORNS OF EARLY POLITICS — There were thorns in the early years of the USA with regards to politics.  Yes, the Founding Fathers could hate and detest one another for their respective views and stances.  Yet, despite these, the USA’s political machinery tended to work.  Yes, there was the duel between Former Vice-President Aaron Burr and Former Secretary of the Treasury Alexander Hamilton, in which Mr. Hamilton was mortally wounded.  Yes, it is no secret that President Andrew Jackson had very little love nor high regard for his own Vice-President, John C. Calhoun, nor the great Senator Daniel Webster.  Often, American Governing Officials would literally hate each other while at work (and in private), yet still maintained public decorum and cordiality after hours.

Despite these exceptions, the norm of the United States Government was that politics and political parties worked, despite personal or even ideological enmity between politicians.  The different and various compromises — such as The Missouri Compromise of 1820 and the Compromise of 1850 — show us that, despite deepened political and nearly schismatic ideological beliefs, American Politics and American ideological differences still found ways in which to keep the nation together, to keep the government working.

THE LAST TIME THREE-QUARTERS OF A MILLION AMERICANS DIED.  Many have spoken at great length about secession.  A recent article at the Breitbart News Network spoke towards this possibility…

“Democrats are contemplating secession and potential civil war as they game out possible scenarios for a closely contested election, according to a report by Ben Smith in a New York Times column Sunday…buried near the end of Smith’s column is a report that Democrats have participated in a ‘war game’ in which they considered several possible outcomes of the election.

“In one scenario, John Podesta — the former chair of Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, and a leading figure in party circles — played former Vice President Joe Biden, and refused to concede the election.

“The result: the threat of secession by the entire West Coast, followed by the possible intervention of the U.S. armed forces…” [source]

We have seen this before in recent years

“Americans support secession at a plurality of 39 percent, according to a Zogby poll. Among those polled, Democrats and black Americans favor it more than any other group.

“While only 35 percent of Republicans back secession (a drop from 38 percent last year), 42 percent of Democrats support the right of individual states to break away from the federal government to form their own country or a confederacy of states. (This is what Democrats did to protect the institution of slavery in the 1860s, which led to the Civil War.)

“The survey of 1,001 likely voters found that only 38 percent of white Americans back secession (a number equal to last year), even as 47 percent of black Americans support secession, a climb from 43 percent in 2017.” [source][2]

While many have speculated that secession is inevitable, and civil war could break out again, there are those who warn of such a civil war’s modern implications.  As was mentioned in an earlier article…

“The election of Hillary Rodham Clinton as our 45th President of the USA could have spelled doom for us as a nation.  The election of a similarly thinking politician to office in 2020 and/or 2024 could spell the end, as well, for the USA.  We have heard many talk of civil war coming.  Nick Kangadis of MRCTV spoke eloquently when he addressed the idea of another civil war in the USA…

“‘I hear people on both sides gearing up, as if they’re ready for civil war; little do all of these people remember, that six hundred and twenty thousand people died during the first civil war, and that was with weapons that were way more primitive than they are now.  It’s time to take a step back, and examine the gravity of the words we’re saying, and exhale.  Everybody needs to relax.  Somewhere along the way, we’ve forgotten how good we have it in this country.  We have more freedoms than anyone in the ‘civilized’ world…in the end, people on both sides need to slow their proverbial roll.  If not, it might lead us down a dangerous path; that the country we’ve all loved, for our entire lives, could be damaged beyond the point of no return.’”

SECESSION AND CIVIL WARS NEVER END WELL FOR EITHER SIDE!  Not only have we seen this in American History, with our own Revolutionary War and Civil War, but it is a fact of history that Secession and Civil Wars never end well for either side.  The English Civil War of the 1600s, between the Royalists and Parliamentarians, saw not only the deaths of thousands, but the exile of one king, the beheading of another, and the expulsion of any of those who sided with the kings during that time.  The Civil Wars of Rome between Sulla and Marius, Caesar and Pompey, and Octavian and Marc Antony — not to mention the various wars for Imperial Supremacy throughout the Empire Period — saw many thousands more die, with enmity lasting for centuries between the warring factions.  Japan saw itself closed off to the world for nearly three centuries, following its last Civil War.  How many Dynasties and governments have risen and fallen, and how many millions died, in China right up to the present-day due to the countless civil wars?

Even in the Bible, we see that the final division between the Ten Northern Tribes of Israel and the Tribe of Judah cause war for almost the entirety of their separated existences as Kingdoms.  Only during the reigns of Kings Jehoshaphat, Jehoram, Ahaziah, and Queen Athaliah of Judah was there true and somewhat lasting peace with the Northern Kingdom of Israel[3].  During the time of the two kingdoms, thousands died in battle, and peace was ever fleeting between Israel and Judah.

Secession and Civil War will only bring destruction to the USA and irreparable damage, not to mention national and international weakness to North America should it take place.

THE BOTTOM LINE:  SECESSION WILL END THE USA AS WE KNOW HER; CIVIL WAR WILL BRING A DARK AGE WORSE THAN HAS EVER BEEN SEEN.  There is never international strength in a nation during a time of civil war.  The reason the Second French Empire was able to establish Maximilian and the puppet Empire of Mexico in the 1860s is entirely because the United States — embroiled in our own Civil War at the time — could not enforce The Monroe Doctrine.  Once the US Civil War ended, and France saw the heavy civil strife and Maximilian’s high unpopularity in Mexico, Napoleon III withdrew French forces form Mexico, and the puppet state came to an end.

The collapse of the Roman Empire in the West in 476AD saw a time of political chaos and disunity, also known as The Dark Ages, which saw petty kingdoms and tin-horn chieftains literally at each others’ throats.  Only with the ascension and conquests of Charlemagne and his successors did any real quiet in society in Europe and the world.  Religiously, as well, this was a time of chaos, schism, crusades, jihads, and seemingly endless religious wars in Europe and the Middle East.  Such was only quelled with the last of the crusades petering out in the 14th century.

Should secession and civil war happen in the USA, it will simply mean the ushering in of a dark, dark time politically and socially in international circles.  The USA has long been viewed as not only the leader of the Free World, but, in recent years, the World in General.  If secession and disunity happen to the USA, such will create a leadership vacuum in international politics for which a salivating Russia, a lustful Red China, and a jihad-crazed Muslim Realm are looking.  Other nations would likely jockey for some sort of position and/or pecking order, and thus could begin belligerence, the likes of which haven’t been seen in a long, long time.

The wars and positioning and strife that will happen, should the USA devolve into Secession and Civil War of her own, very well may usher in World War Three.  Nuclear and Chemical weapons will likely be involved, and all of the Conventions upon which we have, as an international society, established to wage war “properly” would be off of the table.  In fact, such a time of chaos (prophesied throughout the Holy Scriptures) will likely see the rise of the Antichrist, the False Prophet, and the Beast System, as foretold throughout the Bible.  Will we see this take place in the very near future, in the very close offing?

CONCLUSION:  A RETURN TO UNITY WON’T HAPPEN UNTIL AMERICA RETURNS TO GOD! This is the simple truth, Friends.  Only a return to God in repentance and seeking of forgiveness can we, as a nation, reunite and avoid Secession and Civil War…

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.”

But didn’t Christ Jesus also say THIS…?

“Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, ‘Nay; but rather division:’  For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.  The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.”

Yes, he did, but we also see various verses of Scripture where GOD promises to strengthen, to unify, and to bless a nation who chooses him and his ways[4]…

Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.”

“(A Song of degrees of David.) Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!  It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.”

“I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”

Only through Christ Jesus can the divide in the USA be unified; only in Yehoshua Ha’Mashiach can the breach be healed!

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.  Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:  But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.  For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:  And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.  For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.”

PRAYER:  Heavenly Father, the United States of America stands on the brink of a dangerous precipice. Would you help us, O LORD, to move away from this, from national oblivion, and return back to you?  Would you, O LORD, Revive us again, that we might serve Thee and walk with Thee, and be the nation that we have been and were in the past?  You you, O Father, cool hot, fiery hearts and minds, and have cooler heads prevail?  Would you, O Holy Ghost, protect and be with President Trump and Vice-President Pence, and both of their families, as well as those of their cabinets and administration?  We thank you and we praise you, and we pray all of these things in the Strong, Unifying, and Mighty Name of Yeshua Ha-Mashiach, Amen!

THE LAST WORD:  “Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine anger toward us to cease.  Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations?  Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?  Shew us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy salvation.”  Psalm lxxxv. 4—7

NOTES

1. Author’s Note:  Having Read Man of the House: The Life and Political Memoirs of Speaker Tip O’Neill, it is clearly evident, despite the late Speaker’s words in public, that Mr. O’Neill had no love for President Reagan, nor any other truly Conservative government official.  His words about late First Lady Nancy Reagan, and his innuendo and stated joking at President Eisenhower’s first White House dinner invitation to him that Speaker O’Neill was no friend to Conservatives…

2. Author’s Note:  Could this be the REAL reason we see Black Lives Matter (BLM) and AntiFa not only rioting and looting, but also establishing the now-defunct CHAZ/CHOP in Seattle and BHAZ in Dee-Cee; demanding the singing of the “Black National Anthem”; and demanding the kneeling of people to their wishes and during the National Anthem at athletic events?  Could this also be the reason BLM and AntiFa advocate the assault on the Federal Courthouse in Portland, OR, as well as the puling down and removal of various statues throughout the United States of America?

3. See Barseraiah, Ezra.  The Second Book of the Chronicles.  Jerusalem, Province of Judah, Empire of Persia.  5th Century, BC.  Chs. xx—xxiii; and Unknown.  The First Book of the Kings, Commonly Called “The Third Book of the Kings”.  Jerusalem, Tribes of Benjamin, Judah, and Simeon, Kingdom of Israel; Shechem, Tirzah, and Samaria, Tribe of Ephraim, Kingdom of Israel; and Jerusalem, Tribes of Benjamin, Judah, and Simeon, Kingdom of Judah.  11th—9th Centuries, BC.  Ch. xxii, v. 41 through Unknown.   The Second Book of the Kings, Commonly Called “The Fourth Book of the Kings”.  Jerusalem, Tribes of Benjamin, Judah, and Simeon, Kingdom of Judah; Samaria, Tribe of Ephraim, Kingdom of Israel.  9th—6th Centuries, BC. Ch. xi, v. 21

4. Two full chapters in two Books of Moses — Leviticus xxvi and Deuteronomy xxix — detail how nations who follow the LORD will continue in unity, and how they will be broken up if they fail to do so.
