This is a really big deal since this is where we move from a shampeachment from a real impeachment.
This particular hearing, Constitutional Grounds for Presidential Impeachment, was the first step in the impeachment of Bill Clinton.
It is still not at all clear what process the House Judicial Committee is going to use and they may be figuring it out as we speak.
As I noted in another article, Bill Clinton’s defense called 14 witnesses before the House Judicial Committee and the Committee took two months to vote on the Articles of Impeachment.
