All of Hillary’s Election Opponents Are Now Under Investigation

As many of you know, the FBI, which is currently being run by Hillary supporter Andrew McCabe, is investigating Bernie Sanders:

Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders has been getting asked a lot lately about something that happened seven years ago — a complicated 2010 land deal involving a small Vermont college run at the time by his wife, Jane.

The reason Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., has been parrying reporters’ questions is a reported federal probe into his wife’s handling of the matter.

And a federal law enforcement official confirmed that authorities are investigating the deal, The New York Times reported, while Politico said in late June that FBI agents had begun collecting “hard drives, audit reports and spreadsheets” belonging to the college as part of a probe that had been going on for at least 18 months.

Bernie Sanders most recently publicly addressed the issue last week, with the senator telling ABC’s “The View” that “we’ll see where the process goes” after being asked on the show about an investigation into his wife.

And the ludicrous national disgrace that is the Russia probe has now been widened to include Jill Stein. That’s right; Jill Stein, someone who publicly accused Russia of hacking the vote and helping Trump, is now herself being accused of witchcraft treason:

Third party candidate Jill Stein was a surprising addition this week to investigators casting an increasingly wide net in the congressional probe into Russian interference in the presidential campaign.

Stein’s name was included in a Senate Judiciary Committee letter requesting all communication between President Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr. and a number of others, including Russian officials and other members of Trump’s presidential campaign.

Stein ran for president as the Green Party candidate in 2016. A Green Party spokesman called the inclusion of her name “vengeance against Dr. Stein for running as a third-party candidate for the White House.”

The Senate panel wants documents relating to a recently revealed meeting between Trump Jr. and a Russian attorney, among others. Former campaign chairman Paul Manafort and Trump’s son-in-law and adviser Jared Kushner were also at the meeting.

But investigators seem to be casting a wider net by asking Trump Jr. for “all communication to, from or copied to you relating to” a long list of individuals that include Stein.

The Senate Judiciary Committee and the office of its chairman, Sen. Chuck Grassley’s (R-Iowa), did not respond to a request to clarify their inclusion of Stein in the request for communication from Trump Jr.

With Jill Stein now being probed, all of Hillary Clinton’s main political rivals - Donald Trump, Jill Stein, and Bernie Sanders - are now under criminal investigation by various parts of the federal government. The FBI’s Andrew McCabe, as a I mentioned earlier, has close financial links to Hillary Clinton and cannot possibly be trusted to pursue an objective investigation of Bernie Sanders.

While the Democrats are putting on a brave face and trying to claim Trump is “going after” Bernie, this assertion doesn’t pass the smell test. If Trump was really that vengeful, he would be going after Hillary Clinton, not minor candidates who ceased to be a significant factor after the primary elections.

Likewise, the idea that Jill Stein is some sort of super-secret Russian collaborator is risible, and yet the Republicans are treating it as a gravely serious matter. How is a 1%-2%, minor third party candidate going to be able to give any serious political assistance or help to Russia? Why would they even bother with her? More importantly, why on earth is a Senator like Grassley embarrassing himself like this?

It’s hard to conclude anything other than the government as a whole, both Democrats and Republicans, wanted Hillary to win the 2016 election and is now seeking to systematically punish everyone who opposed her. While it can be fun to indulge in schadenfreude at the plight of Jill Stein and Bernie Sanders, in the larger scheme of things, these so-called investigations are very disturbing. Never before in modern memory have we seen such a comprehensive effort to punish the losers and unwanted winners of elections.

Elections cannot be free and fair if the government decides to criminally investigate “unfavored” candidates over and over again until they can fabricate enough evidence to claim some crime was committed. This is the kind of thing that goes on in banana republics, and should not be going on in the USA. Indeed, there are many third world countries where this sort of thing doesn’t happen.

Once again, I am left baffled as to why Trump is meekly allowing these people tie his hands. He needs to do a thorough housecleaning at all levels of government.
