Oh, my. Has the dam truly begun to burst? Another one has left the liberal plantation, in the form of Chance the Rapper:
Kanye West’s recent praise of President Donald Trump has left some of the rapper’s fans aghast, but fellow Chicago rapper Chance the Rapper and West’s wife Kim Kardashian have come to his defense.
Chance the Rapper, who has been critical of Trump in the past, tweeted, “Black people don’t have to be democrats.”
“Next President gon be independent,” he added in another tweet.
Chance The Rapper
Black people don’t have to be democrats.
In a series of tweets in which she slams “the media” for suggesting that West is “having mental health issues,” Kardashian characterized her husband as a “free thinker” who is “ahead of his time” and said that although she disagrees with him on Trump, she believes “in people being able to have their own opinions.”
What hath Roseanne wrought? While others offer weak apologies for even offering the suggestion that they might have supported Trump, Kanye has stayed strong in his one-man uprising against the Twitter mob. Will it last? Only time will tell, but we live in a country where you can literally be arrested for wearing the wrong hat:
As CBS2’s Hazel Sanchez reported, police believed they might have their man Monday morning when some witnesses spotted Harold “Tubby” Augustus wearing a brand new red cap on the Upper East Side.
“I understood it was the hat. That’s what it really came down to, because is this rare? To see an African American wearing a Trump hat? But you know, he’s our president, you gotta love him,” Augustus said.
The Long Island car salesman said he was getting a manicure on 90th Street off Second Avenue when police swarmed the salon.
“It was very scary. There had to been over 20 cops,” he said. “They came in and said, ‘Do you have a red hat?’ I’m like, ‘yeah.’ So I showed it to them and they said, ‘that’s him.’”
The true racists have revealed themselves, and they’re not in the White House.
