Because it is E3 week, gaming news increases from its normal flow to a deluge. So to help stay on top of it all without waiting until next week, here’s the latest of what is going on.

Sony

I added the conference that Sony held last night to the first Gaming Thread this week but in case you missed it:

Announcements:

God of War – Be A Warrior

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy

Shadow of the Colossus

Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds DLC

Destiny 2 (also coming to PC/XB1)

Days Gone

Monster Hunter World (also coming to PC/XB1)

Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite (Also coming to PC/XB1)

Moss (PSVR)

Detroit: Become Human

No Heroes Allowed VR

Matterfall

Knack 2

Call of Duty WW2 (Also for PC/XB1)

Nintendo

With the other two big names in gaming out of the way, Nintendo finally pulled out their big guns this morning. At only 25 minutes, their ‘conference’ presentation is the shortest of the three but I think that it is the most effective.

Announcements:

NO SMASH CONFIRMED! #trollfun

Super Mario Odyssey launching Oct 27th (Switch) – They even made a catchy vocal theme song to accompany the game.

New Pokemon RPG coming to Switch

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild DLC (WiiU/Switch)

Metroid Prime 4 (Switch) – Almost no details other than it is in development. Probably late 2018 would be my guess. This is the one I’m most excited for, Metroid is one of my favorite Nintendo IPs next to Zelda.

During the Treehouse below, they also just revealed Metroid: Samus Returns. This is a remake of Metroid 2 for the Nintendo 3DS

Rocket League (Switch)

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (Switch)

Fire Emblem Warriors (Switch)

Yoshi (Switch)

Kirby (Switch) – I guess it’s a think to just have the name for the game now

Sonic Forces (Also for PC/PS4/XB1)

They have their “Treehouse” live presentation going on through the day, starting with the new Super Mario Odyssey and more will be along. Reggie also mentioned that the 3DS family has sold over 66 million units, nothing to sneeze at.
