The China Virus has forced President Trump off the campaign trail just one month before Election Day. Trump’s scheduled rallies have been postponed, and the president himself is currently sequestered within Walter Reed Medical Center. True, President Trump is in the care of some of the best doctors in the country, but his presidential campaign is essentially on hold.
How can President Trump possibly recover from such a devastating blow?
By going full court press and launching “Operation MAGA.”
Fox News reported that Operation MAGA appears to be the brainchild of Trump campaign manager Bill Stepien:
The official told Fox News that early Saturday morning, Stepien, Clark and senior adviser Jason Miller held a call with campaign communications, operations and political teams to describe the launch of “Operation MAGA” and get the teams working on the new initiative and to “rally everybody for the last 30 days” of the campaign.
The official said Stepien was planning to host two other conference calls Saturday afternoon – one with the entire campaign staff, and the other with grassroots leaders from across the country. The official told Fox News that the vice president is expected to participate in one of the calls.
“Operation MAGA will fire up the entire MAGA universe to keep President Trump’s campaign at full speed until our Commander-in-Chief returns to the campaign trail,” Stepien told Fox News. “Vice President Mike Pence, the First Family, our coalitions, and our grassroots supporters will be out in full force to show the real enthusiasm behind the President’s re-election and to show we’re working as hard as he always does.”
Operation MAGA will begin with a series of virtual events featuring key Trump surrogates and family members. The campaign will switch back to in-person events after the vice presidential debate on October 7.
The Trump campaign website gave the MAGA universe a little taste of what Operation MAGA would entail:
Vice President Pence will begin a swing through key states following Wednesday’s debate in Salt Lake City, Utah. He will travel to Arizona, before voting early in Indiana and heading to other events yet to be announced. Members of the First Family will host live events in battleground states beginning after Wednesday as well. The campaign will also deploy its coalitions, including Women for Trump, Black Voices for Trump, Latinos for Trump, and others, for events in key states.
Operation MAGA…it’s like this:
