Twitter seems to have taken a cue from the mythical Russians that supposedly interfered in the 2016 and 2018 elections. Earlier today Twitter took the unprecedented step of suspending Mitch McConnell’s campaign account.
The offense that earned the ban? The McConnell campaign dared to post a video of rabid Leftists screaming death threats on the front lawn of Mitch McConnell’s residence.
“This morning, Twitter locked our account for posting the video of real-world, violent threats made against Mitch McConnell. This is a problem with the speech police in America today,” McConnell campaign manager Kevin Golden told the Courier Journal. “The Lexington Herald-Leader can attack Mitch with cartoon tombstones of his opponents. But we can’t mock it.
“Twitter will allow the words of “Massacre Mitch” to trend nationally on their platform, but locks our account for posting actual threats against us,” Golden added. “We appealed and Twitter stood by their decision, saying our account will remain locked until we delete the video.”

Twitter has allowed various incarnations of #MassacreMitch to trend for the last few days. These hashtags are inevitably filled with Leftists spewing the most vile invective and threats imaginable. Yet when Team Mitch dares to show the world the truth about the ultra-violent insanity that has gripped the Left in this country they find themselves locked out of their account.
Mitch McConnell is currently running for re-election in Kentucky. Can someone explain to me how suspending Team Mitch’s account isn’t election interference?
Twitter has some explaining to do. I sincerely hope that Team Mitch files suit against them.
