Liberal lawyer and unlikely Trump defender Alan Dershowitz was on Tucker Carlson’s show Thursday evening. Carlson asked Dershowitz his thoughts on Andrew McCabe’s revelation that there was indeed serious talk in the FBI and the DOJ about removing President Trump using the 25th Amendment.
Dershowitz did not mince words when he told Tucker exactly what he thought: that Andrew McCabe’s interview detailed an attempted coup by Trump’s own Department of Justice.
Andrew McCabe spent much of Friday attempting to walk back his assertions regarding the Deep State discussions regarding the 25th Amendment. McCabe released a statement through his spokesperson, Melissa Schwartz.

McCabe’s statement read in part, “To clarify, at no time did Mr. McCabe participate in any extended discussions about the use of the 25th Amendment, nor is he aware of any such discussions. He was present and participated in a discussion that included a comment by Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein regarding the 25th Amendment.”
Perhaps someone explained to McCabe that discussing removing the duly elected President of the United States of America is, in fact, treason.
I’d like to think they reminded McCabe of exactly what the penalty for treason is.
