Dear Sparta Report,
This request is in relation to one of your latest web publications published on Wednesday 16 January titled: ‘Largest Caravan Yet Heading This Way, Organized By Norwegian Refugee Council…What is Going on Here?’ https://www.spartareport.com/2019/01/largest-caravan-yet-heading-this-way-organized-by-norwegian-refugee-council-what-is-going-on-here/?fbclid=IwAR1vHkZbAIqXAq-NE6zenHiinA57Wef7T0Oae8upB-18Y2OmeiEQRs_xO9k
While NRC is present in Honduras providing education and legal aid to people affected by the current crisis, it is wrong that we have taken any part in organizing the recent caravan departure from Honduras. On Tuesday 15 January we send out a press release titled: ‘Honduran crisis produces new caravan’ where we reported on the current situation, but please note that we have not had any programmatic involvement in organizing the caravan.
Here is a link to our press release: https://www.nrc.no/news/2019/january/honduran-crisis-produces-new-caravan/
And here you can find more information about our work in Honduras: https://www.nrc.no/countries/south-america/north-triangle/
I ask you to kindly correct the factual mistake in your story as soon as you can. Please let me know if you have any questions to the above. Grateful if you can get back to me as soon as possible.
