Poor Michael Avenatti, he just can’t seem to catch a break. The would-be leader of #TheResistance first ran into trouble when he trotted out crazy liar Julie Swetnick in an effort to torpedo the Brett Kavanaugh nomination. You may remember Swetnick accused the most boring, unassuming man alive of being a not-so-secret gang rape mastermind.
Instead of ending Kavanaugh’s nomination, Swetnick and Michael Avenatti succeeded in radicalizing Lindsey Graham and Susan Collins, two of the most moderate members of the GOP. They also managed to get themselves referred for criminal prosecution for conspiring to lie to Congress among other things.
Then Michael Avenatti’s star client, porn star Stormy Daniels, not only lost her big court case against President Trump, she was also ordered to pay Trump’s legal fees as well. Stormy responded to this little set back by coming out and saying that Avenatti had sued Trump without her consent.
The universe then decided to throw another one-two punch at Michael Avenatti when he was arrested for throwing a few one-two punches of his own at his current girlfriend. Luckily for him he was able to get the D.A. to drop that down to a misdemeanor charge because #Resist. Who says there’s no justice in this country?
Now, after being evicted from his law offices for failing to pay his rent, Michael Avenatti has been ordered by a judge to start liquidating assets to pay child support:
Michael Avenatti has agreed to turn over to his estranged wife a corporate jet, Ferrari and other assets as part of their divorce settlement.
Orange County Judge Carol Henson on Tuesday accepted the agreement stipulating that some of Avenatti’s assets be liquidated and sold for back child and spousal support. He also must pay at least $80,000 to Lisa Storie-Avenatti by Jan. 2.
Avenatti, who represents porn star Stormy Daniels in her lawsuit against President Donald Trump, previously agreed to pay Storie-Avenatti more than $150,000 a month in child and spousal support.
Among the assets Avenatti is turning over are a 2017 Ferrari GT Spider, five watches including a Rolex that retails for $12,000, a sculpture by famed architect Frank Gehry and a six-seat business jet worth millions.
Avenatti stressed that development was an agreed-upon deal as part of his divorce proceedings. He said he and his ex-wife came to an agreement, known as a stipulation, in which certain assets would be transferred to her and she would sell them. The court then approved the deal.
Wait, she gets the Ferrari and the corporate jet? How in the hell do they expect the self-proclaimed Leader of #TheResistance to get around the country? Michael Avenatti doesn’t fly coach!
Oh well, at least Michael Avenatti’s managed to find a new sucker…err…client to help pay the bills:
Just days after announcing he won’t run for president in 2020, attorney Michael Avenatti said he is now representing Therese “Patricia” Okoumou, the woman who was arrested in July for scaling the Statue of Liberty to protest President Trump’s immigration policies.
Ms. Okourmou might want to be careful. She could end up owing President Trump a lot of money.
