There is a “law” that is cited by young boys within the Boy Scouts of America program that goes as follows:
A Scout is: Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent.
This is followed by the Scout Oath:
On my honor, I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight.
Years ago, these sayings would have instilled a sense of dignity and virtue into the young man reciting them. Today, these words ring hollow as the “Scouts BSA” has become dilapidated & corrupt via “progress.” To quote Dr. Michael Savage, “Diversity is perversity.” How sad that we have seen it play out once again among a once great organization.
When I was a child, I was quite excited to become a Cub Scout and begin working my way up the ranking ladder. Eventually I earned my Arrow of Light, and as soon as I could begin working on becoming an Eagle Scout, I did so. While my parents and scout leaders were there to help me along the way (12/13 year olds have trouble staying motivated all of the time :P), the work paid off and earned my Eagle Scout right after celebrating my 14th birthday. I continued to work in the Scouts as one of the troop leaders and also joined the Order of the Arrow, which is essentially a fraternity within the Scouts.
I also have had relatives who served as troop leaders for many years. All-in-all, I should be one of the Boy Scouts strongest advocates.
But those were different days and I am not, thanks to their “going woke.”
If you don’t remember, the BSA has thrown out the “morally straight” part of the oath for a while now, rushing to please the tyrants within the LGBTQ cartel, which led to them also trying to please liberals who are always trying to destroy scientific & cultural gender norms. It was only 26 months ago that they began allowing girls into the organization, so you might wonder how that has been working out for them?
Between that and abuse lawsuits, they are paying the price, and are hiring a law firm to help them handle bankruptcy. Ironically, they claimed that they were diversifying as a way to boost membership.
UPDATE: The BSA claims that they are simply “exploring all options” to address their financial woes, while not confirming the bankruptcy part. Who wants to bet that pulling a full reverse on the policies that brought them here aren’t a part of that exploration?
So here’s to what the BSA used to be – a patriotic organization that taught boys how to become men through traditional, timeless and proven values. And damn those who tore it down.
