It’s a long shot but…
The Democrat-Farmer-Labor talking point newpaper of record – the Minneapolis Star Tribune – has a couple of unsettling (for the DFL) polls this weekend.
One shows a tightening race in the Governor tilt between Donk Tim Walz and GOP hopeful Jeff Johnson (Scandinavian name advantage!) and another in the Franken Seat race between appointed incumbent Democrat Tina Smith and upstart Republican Karen Housley.
And there are four competitive US House races in the suburban 2nd & 3rd and the rural 1st and 8th congressional districts.
If (yuge if) the Republicans actually win these races it will crash the Democrats hopes for a Blue Wave Election on the rocks.
Your Uncle Bruno still expects Walz and Smith to win, the red 2nd & 3rd to flip blue, the blue 8th to flip red and the blue 1st to be a nail-biter.
Still, as President Hillary Clinton can attest, stranger things have happens and the GOP could end up with a 5-3 House seat advantage and a split in Minnesota’s Senate seats
