Senator John McCain has passed away at age 81 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Pundits and politicians on both the Left and the Right have issued statements of support for his family. McCain himself is being remembered as a hero, a maverick-someone who always put his country before his politics.

Let me tell you how I choose to remember John McCain. You’ll realize why I’m not shedding any tears over his death.
