CNN’s John King is upset because Americans aren’t freaking out about Russia despite the hysterical, 24/7 media coverage of the hoax:
CNN host John King couldn’t believe no contestant on the popular trivia show “Jeopardy!” knew the answer to a question about the Russia investigation, wondering Friday what that said about the nation’s “focus.”
“Only the smartest of the smart get to be on Jeopardy, right?” King asked. “So what does this little exchange last night say about the nation’s focus, or lack thereof, on the whole [Robert] Mueller Russia meddling and collusion investigation?”
Two contestants buzzed in and responded incorrectly to the $1,000 clue Thursday night, “In 2017, this ex-National Security Adviser pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI?” One guessed John Kelly; the other guessed Sebastian Gorka.
CNN has reported extensively on the sprawling Russia probe led by Mueller, which has delved beyond the question of meddling in the 2016 election and potential Trump campaign collusion, ensnaring several Trump allies besides Flynn. Reporter Maeve Reston said in January “that’s all we talk about at CNN, basically.”
This is yet another manifestation of the ongoing Democrat problem of fixation on non-issues like transgender bathrooms, social justice, and Saving the Planet. Voters want to know how politicians are going to improve job creation and fix potholes in the roads and want real solutions to real-world problems. They aren’t transfixed by the dramas of a very tiny minority of people who can’t figure out what their gender is.
The media also only has itself to blame for their state of affairs, because when they’re erupting in screaming hysterics over things like two scoops of ice cream, normal people quickly tune them out.
