Steyn: The Sentimentalization of Public Policy

On Monday’s edition of “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” Mark Steyn was asked by Tucker Carlson to discuss the left’s latest ginned up “crisis” of family separation at the US border. Steyn attacks the shift in public policy from one based on logical, sound decisions to one where sentimentalization to score political points is preferred. Steyn praises Kirstjen Nielsen’s “thinly veiled contempt for the sob-sisters of the White House press corps” and applauded “her firm re-statement of what the law requires.”
