No Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell have not seen the proverbial light and have decided to fund President Trump’s signature issue. But they did procure taxpayer funds for walls in several other countries. Most notably in Tunisia.
Last year they told the country that they would be funding the wall, yet they have refused to provide any funding for new construction in every appropriation bill since the start of the President’s first term in office.
Here they are saying that they will be providing $12-15 billion dollars for the border wall between the United States and Mexico:
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R) and House Speaker Paul Ryan (R) say congress is working on a $12-15 billion bill to pay for President Trump’s proposed border wall with Mexico.
And here we are, $1.3 TRILLION dollars later, no funding for the wall, but they were willing to fund one in Tunisia and Jordan.
And people wonder why the Republican party has been having trouble winning elections in extreme red districts over the past year. It could not possibly have anything to do with the absolute failure of the Republican Congressional Leadership under Paul Ryan and the even worse Mitch McConnell… could it?
