When Mark Levin is on the radio or tv, I generally find myself quickly changing the station. Nothing so much about his views, but his endless promotion of GOLDLINE, and his voice grates on me continuously. (Caveat: There are many positions that I do disagree with.)
Mark Levin has now called for the abolishing of the FISA Court, something I fully agree with. From Fox News:
“Life, Liberty and Levin” host Mark Levin sounded off on alleged abuses committed before the FISA court in relation to the obtaining of a surveillance warrant against former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.
Levin said Congress must look into whether representatives of the Department of Justice and FBI committed acts of “misconduct” before the court – in part by using an unverified dossier linked to an opposition research firm and former British spy as evidence.
He added that the judges on the FISA court deserve scrutiny too.
Levin said his Leesburg, Va.-based organization, the Landmark Legal Foundation, sent a letter to FISA court Judge Rosemary Collyer requesting that her court “do something” about “alleged abuses” committed by the FBI and DOJ.
He said the letter asked Collyer if the FBI informed her that the Russia dossier used as evidence in the case was compiled by the former spy for the firm doing opposition research on Donald Trump.
Levin said Collyer responded by saying there is “no matter pending before the court with respect to which such an appearance would be proper.”
“This FISA judge… was misdirected,” Levin said. “[Courts] have the power to reach back and hold people accountable [for contempt].”
The FISA Court is a totally secret court with no one to oversee it except Chief Justice John Roberts. And he has done nothing.
Let’s have Congress end the FISA Court now!
