Fox News host Laura Ingraham is taking vacation time even as advertisers flee her show “The Ingraham Angle” over a feud with a high school student who advocates gun control. On her show Friday night, Ingraham stated the vacation is a pre-planned “break” with her children for the Easter holiday.
“A blessed Good Friday and Passover to all of you; I’ll be off next week for Easter break with my kids,” she said. “Fear not. We’ve got a great lineup of guest hosts to fill in for me.”
The Fox News host leaves in the midst of a massive controversy engineered by a dustup between her and David Hogg, the anti-2nd amendment manchild from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
At least 14 companies have now stopped advertising on Ingraham’s show in the days since the Fox News host mocked Hogg for being rejected from colleges.
Hogg claims to be a survivor of the Parkland, Florida school shooting that took place in February, even though he was not attending the school at the time of the incident. He has since morphed into national anti-2nd amendment freedom agitator.
He helped organize the March For Our Lives rally in Washington, D.C., which brought thousands to the Capitol to pressure lawmakers to change laws in favor of tighter restrictions. David Hogg was mocked wildly during and after the rally for his Nazi-like speech and gestures.
A YouTube video that was heavily censored by Google for its amazingly effective broadside against David Hogg, mocked the similarities between Hogg and the March for Our Lives rally-goers to Adolf Hitler and his Nazi crowds.

Ingraham, instead of fighting back as everyone expected due to past experience with leftist social media lynch mobs, shocked the right by apologizing on Thursday “for any upset or hurt my tweet caused him or any of the brave victims of Parkland.” She also praised Hogg’s “4.2 GPA,” which she had previously mocked.
She noted that she was the first to feature Hogg on the air after the shooting that left 17 dead and praising his “poise” at the time for speaking so well and informatively. She also invited Hogg back on the program to have “a productive discussion.”
As expected, Hogg rejected her apology, calling it “an effort just to save your advertisers.” He had called for his Twitter followers to contact her top advertisers. He went on to accelerate the boycott effort by listing 100 advertisers for the show by retweeting a list provided by Media Matters.
Since Wednesday night, at least 14 advertisers have stopped advertising on the program, including Liberty Mutual, Office Depot, Jenny Craig, Atlantis Paradise Island, Stitch Fix, Johnson & Johnson, Hulu, Nestle, Expedia, Wayfair, Trip Advisor, Ruby Tuesday, Nutrish, and Global investment group Principal.
The only blue-chip company to advertise on Ingraham’s show Friday night was IBM.
In response to Ingraham’s announced vacation, Hogg tweeted: “Have some healthy reflections this Holy Week.”

Here is the ongoing list of shame:
- Laura Ingraham apologized for making a comment as an edgy opinion maker.
- Ingraham then praised her attacker instead of fighting fire with fire.
- Ingraham then went further and offered to bring him back to air more of his anti-American hate.
- Now the Fox News host is “leaving for a break” from the show for a week just as her remaining advertisers are being whittled down and pressure mounts.
Each and every move she’s made has only emboldened the left to attack her more. Giving into the bullies by validating that their feelings matter more than your own only makes them even more empowered to continue your humiliation. The feigned indignance brigade was never about the apology, it is always about silencing dissenters.
Enjoy the break Laura, hopefully you do not come back from it at Fox News. The right does not need “leaders” who will run away the moment they experience the slightest resistance from the left.
