Alabama is now a week out from the election and Debbie Wesson Gibson is back offering new evidence that she says supports her allegation that Roy Moore dated her when she was 17. She told the Washington Post that she found a letter in her attic that she says was from Roy Moore written to her around the time she graduated high school.
Gibson tells the Washington Post that she was afraid of bringing forth the new evidence she found in her attic because she had received threatening information from various sources after the original story written by the very same newspaper broke last month. She states that Roy Moore calling the women liars is what provoked her to bring forward the letter:
Gibson said that after finding the scrapbook, she was not sure whether to make it public given the threats she received after publication of the original story. Then she heard what Moore said last week, she said, and contacted The Post.
Debbie Wesson Gibson’s story as told by the Washington Post:
Gibson, 54, now lives in Delray Beach, Fla., is a registered Republican and is the founder of a company that provides sign language interpretation. Though she said the bulk of her work is in educational, medical and legal settings, her clients have included Democrats such as Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden, and Republicans such as the mayor of Miami. She said that despite requests from dozens of media outlets, she had “very carefully said absolutely nothing” after her account was first published in The Post, because of a barrage of threatening hate mail she received, prompting her to notify her local police department. She and the other women have been accused by Moore’s surrogates of lying, or being paid to spread false stories, or being part of a larger political conspiracy to defeat Moore.
Debbie Wesson Gibson then stated that her letter received allegedly from Roy Moore upon graduation from high school reminded her of the inscription allegedly made by Roy Moore in Beverly Young Nelson’s yearbook. Nelson accused Roy Moore of sexually assaulting her in a parking lot when she was 16 years old. Her only evidence she could produce was a high school yearbook with his alleged writing and signature.
Her emotionally charged press conference with Gloria Allred has led to many calling for an outside inspector to examine the writing in the yearbook for its authenticity. Gloria Allred herself has refused for over 2 weeks to turn over the yearbook for examination and has refused at every encounter to attest to the yearbook’s authenticity.
After watching that press conference, Debbie Wesson Gibson was emotionally distraught, she began to “sob openly”:
“I just couldn’t imagine him doing something like that,” Gibson said. “And then when I saw the interview from Beverly, and I saw his handwriting in her yearbook, my heart just sank. And when I saw what I knew to be Roy Moore’s handwriting, I just began to sob openly.”
Debbie Wesson Gibson, self appointed forensic examiner, attested to the Washington Post that she knows that the handwriting in the yearbook was Roy Moore’s. If that is the case, it should be a slam dunk case right? She can support Leigh Corfman’s case and use Nelson’s testimony and yearbook, if it is ever allowed to be examined by an outside investigator, to take Roy Moore to Court.
Let us count the number of lawsuits brought forward against Roy Moore since these women came forward? … Zero lawsuits?
The scant supporting evidence that these women have brought forward has obviously been done to see if the Democrats can manufacture a win in a state where they consistently lose by over 20 points in most elections. They have about two dozen seats available next year and every Republican seat they take is one less they have to worry about losing on their roster.
Secondly, Debbie Wesson Gibson is a nevertrump #resistance supporter. Her Facebook account, before she deleted everything, had dozens of examples of her sharing and promoting Democrat propaganda, pictures, comments, and posts. Yet she has stated repeatedly that she is a Republican.
Would a Republican post this?
Debbie’s sister Donna Wesson Smalley ran as a Democrat in Alabama and has ties with Doug Jones and has also voiced support for him on his Facebook account. The whole family which I’m sure are all “rock ribbed life-long conservative Republicans” sure seem to have a propensity to support Democrats don’t they?
