Andrew Weissmann

I don’t want to hear one more word from anybody, left or right, about how Robert Mueller is an “honorable man:”

A top prosecutor who is now a deputy for Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe praised then-acting Attorney General Sally Yates after she was fired in January by President Trump for refusing to defend his controversial travel ban.

The email, obtained by Judicial Watch through a federal lawsuit, shows that on the night of Jan. 30, Andrew Weissmann wrote to Yates under the subject line, “I am so proud.”

He continued, “And in awe. Thank you so much. All my deepest respects.”

Here’s a copy of the email that was obtained by Judicial Watch:

Andrew Weissmann, by the way, isn’t just some poor schlub that Mueller picked up off the street. Weissmann is a veteran federal prosecutor, and has been described as a bit of a legal bulldog. His legal expertise? Flipping witnesses of course. What are the odds he was involved in interviewing Michael Flynn?

Clearly this damning piece of evidence is proof that Mueller’s team is not approaching this investigation in an unbiased and fair manner. This revelation comes on the heels of the announcement that Peter Strzok was fired for exchanging anti-Trump messages with a colleague. And there are rumors that there are more NeverTrumpers on Mueller’s team than we realized:

This whole bloody investigation was a witch hunt from the get go. That’s more clear now than ever before.

Mr. President, it’s time to make your move. Get rid of Mueller. The people will back you on this. Trust me.

UPDATE: Here’s the Judicial Watch announcement of the documents they obtained regarding this matter. Several other Justice Department officials are described as either sending Yates encouraging messages or expressing their support for her.

Fire them all.
