Any and all videos deemed promoting of hate speech… in an ever expanding and ever shifting definition of it, will be deleted.
Sparta Report just had a video deleted in this new push by Google to censor the internet for the communists/fascist social justice warriors on the left.
It is one of the reasons why we have opened up an account at Vid.me and Vimeo.
But that’s still does little to help everyone, Google, Facebook, GoDaddy, and other left-wing organizations control nearly all of the internet. Google especially is very damaging, they control the vast majority of all advertising, they control nearly all search traffic, they control a huge amount of domains.
And since ad-blocking has become “a thing” at this point in time, most Publishers on the right are getting squeezed from both ends. If something is not done about Google et al, eventually all people are going to have is a bunch of sanitized Salem media-esque clones. That is a sad thought to dwell on.
They have already threatened and attacked Robert Spencer at Jihad Watch and Pamela Geller at her own website through the Southern Poverty Law Center providing the left wing tech companies the casus belli to declare war on them and remove their funding (by attacking their advertisers).
They have taken the Daily Stormer down and blocked them from being able to register it again. The owners of that site had to take it to the Tor decentralized dark web in order to stay online. And even then, the Tor developers decided to virtue signal against them and demand they remove themselves from the network (they actually can’t DO anything, which is why their virtue signaling is so pathetic).
On top of that, these very same organizations (Cloudflare, Tor, for example) that kicked off the vile, horrible Daily Stormer provide space for websites that promote pedophilia, ISIS and other terrorist links, massive spamming and virus distribution, hacking, piracy and illegal drugs, human trafficking, assassination, etc.
Anyone who uploads any content to YouTube needs to realize that they will eventually be on the wrong side of the uniparty establishment approved history, whether they approve or not of the attacks on the right leaning web now.
Unless you’re a member of the loyal opposition in the large, corporate political establishment media like Hot Air, National Review, The Wall Street Journal, etc., you are or will be in jeopardy… especially if you consider yourself a publisher in the non politically correct, wrongthink group.
Starting on Thursday, Google will police YouTube like it never has before, adding warnings and disabling advertising on videos that the company determines crosses its new threshold for offensive content.
YouTube isn’t removing the selected videos, but is instead setting new restrictions on viewing, sharing and making money on them. A note detailing the changes will go to producers of the affected videos on Thursday, according to a spytokeswoman for the Alphabet Inc. company.
Google outlined these moves in June, but the implementation comes as debate about extremism and political speech is front-and-center in the national spotlight — and when tech giants like Google and Facebook Inc. face deeper scrutiny over how they moderate information distributed through their digital services.
“These videos will have less engagement and be harder to find,” Kent Walker, Google’s general counsel, wrote about the plans in a June blog post. “This strikes the right balance between free expression and access to information without promoting extremely offensive viewpoints.” A Google spokeswoman declined to comment further on the changes.
