I know what you’re thinking, is this real or fake news?
With the way the fake news is flying on all sides in today’s media environment, who knows. What I can tell you is, if Trump is going to replace Sessions with Ted Cruz, I’m all for it.
While Sessions has been good on border policy and enforcement, he’s been allowing himself to be completely derailed everywhere else. He’s allowed the Department of Justice to be taken over by the Democrat Deep State and his underlings have all but submitted as well. It is time to clean house throughout the entire federal government.
Trump has to realize by now that playing nice with these people, after having told “The Snake” story over and over again, is probably the dumbest thing he’s done since assuming power. He never should have acted like George W. Bush. That road leads to Democrats regaining power through constant undermining of an executive who refuses to go on the offensive against them.
Trump knows that he can’t do this all by himself, so he’s replacing the ineffectual people with those who are aggressive like himself. Sarah Huckabee Sanders is one of them. Anthony Scaramucci is another.
When comparing Jeff Sessions to Ted Cruz, anyone can see that Cruz is definitely going to be a much more aggressive personality. Cruz would also, hopefully, be less likely to kowtow to Democrat memes on Russia.
So it comes back to the initial question, is President Trump going to replace Jeff Sessions with Ted Cruz?
President Trump is talking to Senator Ted Cruz and others about what they would do differently as Attorney General, should Jeff Sessions resign, as reports indicate.
White House sources also report President Trump was truthful when he made comments expressing buyer’s remorse over appointing Jeff Sessions to the role.
Trump staffers believe Sessions, Donald Trump Jr, and Rohrabacher aide Paul Behrends were unfairly scapegoated due to the left-wing Russia narrative.
In addition, a replacement for special prosecutor Bob Mueller is being acitvely discussed as the President weighs the decision to fire the Rosenstein-appointed prosecutor. Many within the Trump camp see Mueller as acting in bad faith with the investigation due to partisanship, and are urging the appointment of a truly independent alternative.
Facing criticism as a political witch hunt by many, Bob Mueller has hired a who’s who of liberal activists as his team of prosecuting attorneys. Research on Muller’s prosecutors is being conducted for the administration by Chuck Johnson’s team.
Finally, top Trump donors are funding their own research operation independent of the White House in order to push back against the media’s fake Russia narrative conspiracy theory.
