Is the mainstream media the world’s worst danger?
It’s not the first time a “news organization” has made overt attempts to influence an already touchy situation. There is a myriad of examples, from Walter Cronkite misrepresenting the huge loss the North Vietnamese took during the Tet Offensive, eventually leading to U.S. withdrawal, to Wolf Blitzer during the Gulf War referring to U.S. troops as “invading U.S. forces” over and over again, as though he’d memorized it. But has an American outlet ever agitated for war with a communist country before? If you can’t find an example in the past, it might be happening right now with NBC News:
The U.S. is prepared to launch a preemptive strike with conventional weapons against North Korea should officials become convinced that North Korea is about to follow through with a nuclear weapons test, multiple senior U.S. intelligence officials told NBC News.
North Korea has warned that a “big event” is near, and U.S. officials say signs point to a nuclear test that could come as early as this weekend.
American heavy bombers are also positioned in Guam to attack North Korea should it be necessary, and earlier this week, the Pentagon announced that the USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier strike group was being diverted to the area.
The U.S. strike could include missiles and bombs, cyber and special operations on the ground.
The danger of such an attack by the U.S. is that it could provoke the volatile and unpredictable North Korean regime to launch its own blistering attack on its southern neighbor.
“The leadership in North Korea has shown absolutely no sign or interest in diplomacy or dialogue with any of the countries involved in this issue,” Victor Cha, the Korea Chair at the Center for Strategic and International Studies told NBC News Thursday.
Note the careful wording. Lots of ‘may’ and ‘could’ sprinkled in with ‘should it be necessary,’ along with words like ‘danger,’ ‘volatile and unpredictable,’ and ‘blistering attack.’
Even on the surface, this is nothing but sheer speculation with a side of propagandist alarmism. But digging a little deeper, we see references to the Deep State:
The intelligence officials told NBC News that the U.S. has positioned two destroyers capable of shooting Tomahawk cruise missiles in the region, one just 300 miles from the North Korean nuclear test site.
Intelligence officials, eh? Wonder who those people are. “Oh,” the media says, “Those are confidential sources. We don’t have to reveal their names.” Yeah, we got that. You’re hiding behind Lady Liberty’s skirts while you traffic in unsubstantiated rumors while the Pentagon calls your report “wild,” “crazy,” and “dangerous.” And not a single quote from Tillerson or Trump, right?
So who might these “intelligence officials” be? Could they be former Obama staffers who made off with a bunch of classified info right after Obama relaxed the sharing rules between 19 different intelligence agencies, between election day and inauguration day? Could they be Democrats who serve on Congressional committees with security clearances?
We already know the Deep State has tried to undermine, nay, destroy the Trump Administration through the use of wiretapping and leaks. We also know that NBC News was recently instrumental in publishing some of those leaks. It’s quite plausible that these ‘intelligence officials’ are leftist hacks within the intelligence agencies right now, working with Obama’s staff quartered in D.C. with the express purpose of orchestrating this ‘soft coup’ against our President.
And what better way to cause chaos, mayhem, and destruction, than to successfully agitate for war with the ‘little brother’ of a nuclear superpower?
