DELIVER US FROM EVIL: Was Melania’s recitation of the Lord’s Prayer SINCERE, WEIRD or a TROLL?

All I can say is that I found Melania’s recitation of the Lord’s Prayer before introducing her husband at the Florida rally Saturday a bit, well, odd and slightly disconcerting.

I am willing to attribute part of that to being surrounded by stoic Skandyhoovian Lutherans and all the socio-cultural baggage that carries.

Not a particularly demonstrative lot up here in Ice Country.

My guess is that the more Evangelical Spartan’s were delighted.

Still, I couldn’t shake the sense that there was more than a bit of trolling taking place.

Part of me says “well, why not?”

If, for example, SNL or Bill Maher take the bait and it leads to splody heads, where’s the harm? After all, since the Lord whispered to David “Pssst, hey kid, use that rock over there, the one with the nice flat side” we know He works in mysterious ways.

And Patton’s “weather prayer” at The Bulge worked out pretty good too.

Even so, I was uncomfortable with the timing and setting and it just didn’t seem “appropriate“.

(SJW code word alert!  Klaxons blaring!)

So wudda ya’ll think Spartans?

I’m asking with genuine curiosity: sincere, weird or a troll?

Don’t disappoint!

Strozek, along with his alter-egos the decadent, drug-addled Sixties refugee Uncle Bruno and his intolerably feminist SJW Cousin Brunoetta have been riding the not-yet crested wave of deplorability with posts covering politics, sports, entertainment and zombies.

Aptly described as both "hilarious and deeply disturbed" Strozek has enthusiastically embraced the recommendation of the late Raoul Duke that "when the going gets weird the weird turn pro."

Although he has fallen far short of his bucket-list goal of writing for such respectable rags as The National Enquirer and The Weekly World News Strozek is grateful for the opportunity to pen his unhinged screeds at Sparta Report and is constantly amazed and delighted at the reception his pieces receive in the cements.
