The Day the RINOs Died

Since the media became a parody of journalism throughout the election campaign, I thought it would be fun to get into the parody spirit.

The Day the RINOs Died

A long long time ago
I can still remember when
the RINOs gave to Jeb the nod
And I knew if he had the chance
To go against the suit of pants
That Hillary would would win against that clod

But then in June I felt a shiver
The landscape shook, the ground did quiver
Trump was in the Tower
Beside a lovely flower

I heard him say ‘Enough’s enough!’
We all knew that he would be tough,
and not afraid to play it rough.
That day, the RINOs cried.
So

[Chorus]
Bye, bye to the losers that cry
Drove us crazy with their lazy ways of sucking us dry
Now them good ole boys are drinking whiskey and rye,
Singin’ this is how our gravy train dies
This is how the gravy train dies

Did you read the book of Cruz,
And did anyone doubt he would lose
Though his prophets said he’d win?
Do you believe in the USA?
Can Trump undo the Obama way?
And can he clean up DC with a grin?

Well I know that Mitt’s afraid of him
‘Cause I saw him looking rather grim
He thought he’d paid his dues
But he’s got those Romneycare blues

He was a total failure run amok
Who sneered at those with pickup trucks,
And now the RINO’s out of luck
Because, Trump made them cry.
I started singin’

[Chorus]

Now for decades, we’ve been told to vote
For the candidate shoved down our throat
But that’s not how it’s going to be
While the jester said his robot lines
And the fatman laid him on the pine
Then a voice came that spoke for you and me

Oh and while the king was sneering down
The Trumpster made him seem a clown
The others seemed so small
When he talked about that wall

And while DC preached the book of Marx
Trump filled up a football park
And we destroyed them with our snark
The day the RINOs died
We were singin’

[Chorus]

Tension mentioned at the convention,
The champion brushed off all dissension,
Delegates were counted fast
The Bushes, they all took a pass,
And Teddy showed his lack of class
But the people of the nation had a blast

While elites saw us as cheap perfume,
The Donald played a Les Miz tune
We all got up to cheer
And we kept faith through the year

‘Cause the Clintons tried to clear the field,
Deplorables refused to yield
We took it to the battlefield
The day the RINOs died
We were singin’

[Chorus]

Oh, and there we were across the land,
The tension Megyn couldn’t stand
With no time left to rig the vote

So come on, Brett be sad and Juan be pissed
Clinton’s night they all insist,
‘Cause anguish is clogging up their throats

Oh and as I watched them on the stage,
Their hands were clenched in fists of rage
No one would call the state
Till the time was really late

But then Trump came out to make a speech,
After we heard the pundits screech
That Trump across the aisle must reach
The day the RINOs died.
We were cheering,

[Chorus]

I watched the bleeder sing the blues,
As she asked them for some happy news
Then she sighed and turned away

I went on the Gaseous site,
At 3 am that fateful night
And the folks there said we’d clear the Beltway

And in the streets the snowflakes screamed,
The pundits cried and the Clintons schemed
A lot of words were spoken,
The GOP was broken

And the champion said we will commence
to get things done with VP Pence
But still the lefties are so dense
I guess their dreams have died.

And we’re still singing

Bye, bye to the losers that cry
Drove us crazy with their lazy ways of sucking us dry
Now them good ole boys are drinking whiskey and rye,
Singin’ this is how our gravy train dies
This is how the gravy train dies

People singing
My, my, this deplorable guy
Drove them crazy, eyes are glazy cause their dreams have all died
Now those geniuses are asking each other why
And we’re happy that the gravy train died.
